Upcoming Race-Turkey Trot | Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, 1 Mile Run

The 33rd Annual Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday, November 23.  The event begins with a 1 mile fun run at 8:30 am, followed by the half marathon at 9:00 am, and the 5k and 10k at 9:30 am.  The Turkey Trot will begin and end at Cannon Park in Pinehurst (90 Woods Road Pinehurst, NC 28374).  The event benefits the Foundation of First Health.

Race Information

The Turkey Trot winds through residential streets in the Village of Pinehurst, the half marathon also winds around Pinehurst Lake. See the half marathon map here.

The Turkey Trot also features a youth challenge division comprised of competitions between elementary, middle, and high school students in the half marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1 mile fun run.  All finishers in the youth division will receive a special finisher’s medal.  The winning school that has the most miles ran by the end of the event will receive a Youth Challenge school trophy and a Rita’s Italian Ice party.

Registration fees for adults are as follows:  Before Tuesday, November 19 the half marathon $50, 10k $40, 5k $35, and 1 mile fun run $ 20.  Before Saturday, November 23 the half marathon $60, 10k $50, 5k $40, and 1 mile fun run $25.

Registration fees for youth (elementary, middle, high school students) are as follows:  Before Thursday, November 21 the half marathon $40, 10k $30, 5k $25, and 1 mile fun run $15.  Before Saturday, November 23 the half marathon $55, 10k $45, 5k $35, and 1 mile fun run $20.

Awards for adults will be given to the top overall male and female in the half marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1 mile fun run, as well as the top three male and female in each age category.

Tips from SRS

• You can register at Setup events. On-line registration ends Thursday, November 21 at 8:30 am.  You can also register by mail here and here.  Mail in registration needs to be received no later than Wednesday, November 20 to be processed.  Race day registration will be available on-site.
• Packets may be picked up Friday, November 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm at First Health Pinehurst (170 Memorial Drive Pinehurst, NC 28374) and on Saturday, November 23 from 7:00-8:30 am at Cannon Park in Pinehurst
