Upcoming Race – Reindeer Fun Run | 12k, 5k, and Egg Nog Jog

The Reindeer Fun Run is coming soon to Aberdeen.  This annual race benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills.  The three races take place in historic downtown Aberdeen on Saturday, December 6.

Race Information

This year the 12k is limited to 450 runners, register now to reserve your spot.   The 12k will begin at 9:00 am.   The course runs through historic downtown Aberdeen, the neighborhoods of Bethesda and the Malcolm Blue Farm, a map of the 12k course can be found here.

The 5k will begin at 9:15 am.  Runners in the 5k will run through downtown Aberdeen and the neighborhoods of Bethesda,a map of the 5k course can be found here.

An annual favorite, the Egg Nog Jog is for children nine years old and younger and begins at 10:30 am. The Egg Nog Jog is a half mile jog.    A map of the Egg Nog Jog can be found  here.

All races are stroller and pet friendly.  Each race will have an award for the first pair of antlers to cross the finish line as well as overall and age group winners.  There will also be prizes for the best group costume (2 or more people), best pet costume, and best individual costume.    The post race party includes a Chick-Fil-A Kid Zone, music, and fun.

  • Packet pick up will begin Friday, December 5 at noon and end at 8:00 pm.  Packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, December 6 from 7:15 am until 8:45 am.  You may register at these times as well  (104 South Poplar Street, Aberdeen, NC 28315-Page Memorial Fellowship Hall)
  • On site childcare will be provided by Rugg Rats call 910-695-0014 to reserve a spot

If you want to get an early start on all the Reindeer Fun Run fun come enjoy the Blitzen Bash held Monday, December 1 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Southern Pines Brewing Company (565 Air Tool Drive Suite E, Southern Pines, NC 28387).  The event will be catered by Sly Fox and all proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills.  You may register for this event here.
